What You’ll Need to Make Garlic Butter Steak Bites:

  • Steak – My favorite cut to use here is ribeye but you can use sirloin, tenderloin, or New York strip cut into small pieces.
  • Oil – Avocado oil or olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper – I prefer to keep seasonings simple in this recipe
  • Butter – I used salted but you can for sure use unsalted. Just adjust your salt if needed
  • Garlic – Use fresh cloves. DO NOT, I repeat do not use the jar of minced garlic.
  • Parsley – Again, fresh is best is here

How to Make Garlic Butter Steak Bites:

  1. Prepare the Steak: Start by cutting your steak into bite-size cubes. Season the pieces generously with salt and pepper. Don’t be shy—this will help build flavor throughout the dish.
  2. Heat the Pan: Place a cast iron skillet or large pan over high heat. Add the avocado oil and let it get hot. This is key to getting a nice sear on the steak bites.
  3. Sear the Steak Bites: Once the oil is hot, add the steak cubes to the pan. Let them cook for at least 2 minutes without stirring to develop that beautiful golden-brown crust. After 2 minutes, stir the steak bites and cook for another 2 minutes, ensuring they’re cooked through and seared on all sides. If your skillet isn’t big enough, feel free to cook in batches.

4. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: Transfer the steak bites to a bowl and set them aside. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter. Let it melt, then add the minced garlic. Stir frequently and cook for about 30 seconds until the garlic becomes fragrant and just starts to turn golden brown.

    5. Combine the Steak and Sauce: Add the steak bites back into the skillet and toss them well to coat them in that delicious garlic butter sauce. Allow the steak to rest a few minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Tips for the Perfect Garlic Butter Steak Bites:

      • Don’t overcrowd the pan: If your skillet is too small, cook the steak bites in batches to ensure they get a good sear.
      • Choose the right steak: Ribeye is king for flavor and tenderness, but you can substitute with any steak you prefer (sirloin, tenderloin, or New York strip all work great!)
      • Control the heat: Make sure your pan is nice and hot before adding the steak, but reduce the heat when making the garlic butter to avoid burning the garlic.
      • Desired doneness: Increase or decrease cooking time for your desired doneness. Allow steak to rest!

What to Serve with Garlic Butter Steak Bites:

These garlic butter steak bites are super versatile, and you can serve them alongside almost anything! Here are a few ideas:
