Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 onion diced
- 1/2 bell pepper diced
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp granulated garlic
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- Burger buns
- Mayo optional
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook onion and bell pepper until softened.
- Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
- Add ground beef and break apart while cooking.
- Stir in spices and cook until beef is browned. Drain oil if needed.
- Create a well in the center and cook tomato paste briefly.
- Add tomato sauce, ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire, brown sugar, and Dijon.
- Mix and simmer for 10 minutes.
